P.S. Eliot - The Bike Wreck Demo

Artist: P.S. Eliot
Album: The Bike Wreck Demo
Release: 2008
Label: Self-Released

Tracklist:

1. Bike Wreck!!!!!!!
2. Broken Record
3. Entendre
4. Like How You Are
5. Tonight
6. Troubled Medium
7. [Untitled Track]

After finding this release on Catherine's blog Puzzle Pieces, I just had to repost it here, as it aboslutely blew me away. This Birmingham, AL band plays awesome, lo-fi, and fuzzed-the-fuck-out pop-punk that oozes refreshing, yet not overbearing, youthful exuberance. There are only five proper songs on this, but each one is a gem in its own right. Seeing as this is just their demo, I cannot wait to hear how this band develops and progresses. They've already played with big-league bands like Lemuria, so hopefully this is a good sign for the band. If you are into noisy pop or pop-punk, you should totally check this shit out. If you aren't, then be open-minded for once. Shit.

Saw them play in an apartment in Brooklyn with another great punk band, Cheeky. Absolutely fantastic.

Got a copy of the demo in a spraypainted paper lunch bag with a xeroxed liner insert. Love love everything about it.
