Altars - II

Artist: Altars
Release: II
Release: 2008
Label: Occult Contemporary

Tracklist:

1. Namenlose Gräber
2. Etwas Im Weg

HAIL THE BLACK APOCALYPSE! Here lies two vile tracks of basement black metal butchery. This cassette is the obscure American band's third official release to date, following up their brief and limited 7" on the "acclaimed" Youth Attack records and an even more obscure split 5" with Arizona's Issei Sagawa on the much-despised How Much Art Can You Take? label.

This tape offers one original track of high art on the A-side full of shrill guitars over drugged rhythms and laced with pained vocals. The flip side has the most wretched cover of Nirvana's "Something In The Way" that has ever been recorded. Limited to a scant 100 copies on the freshly born Occult Contemporary. Act fast or forever dream.

Wolves In the Throne Room are great. Super epic stuff.
And my life obviously wasn't ruined, I already hate Nirvana.
